Molley College will play host a March 12 conference titled, “The Green Economy: Promise and Potential.”
Slated to run from 1 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the Hays Theatre of the Wilbur Arts Center, the conference will feature New York Times Best-selling Author Peter C. Fusaro as the keynote speaker, followed by two panel discussions.
The first panel discussion will be monitored by Neal Lewis, Executive Director of the Sustainability Institute at Molley College, and will focus on government policy that promotes green job creation. Invited speaker include: Richard M. Kessel, President and CEO, New York Power Authority; Kevin S. Law, President and CEO, Long Island Power Authority; Steve Bellone, Supervisor, Babylon Town; Alfonse D’Amato, Former U.S. Senator, and Founder, Park Strategies LL C; Edward P. Mangano, Nassau County Executive; Kate Murray, Supervisor, Town of Hempstead and Steve Levy, Suffolk County Executive.
The second panel discussion will be monitored by Kristopher Shaw, Senior Project Director of Sustainable Design and Administration, Crescent Energy, and will focus on the nuts and bolts of green jobs. Invited speakers include: Albert Harsch, Director, Corporate Relations, Eastern Energy Systems; Dawn Dzurilla, Founder and President, Gaia Human Capital Consultants; David Schieren, Chairman, CEO and Co-Founder, EmPower; John Cameron, Managing Partner, Cameron Engineering; Ross D. Ain, President, Caithness Long Island, LL C; John Durso, President, Local 338 RWDSU/UFCW; Ray List, President and CEO, EnLink Geoenergy and Micah Kotch, Director of Operations, NYC ACRE : Polytechnic Institute of NYU.
